Today marked the 10th and final day of my TMB adventure, and it was another perfect day for a TMB variant. I was really looking forward to the Lac Blanc variant and the famous ladder section everyone talks about.
I actually ran into the French hikers again who had stayed with me at Gite De la Fouly. The beauty of this hike is that you keep seeing the same friendly faces every few days! We exchanged emails, and I made sure to capture photos of each of them climbing the ladders. I found the ladder section to be fun and quite thrilling, but I never felt endangered.
I had hoped to get a perfect mirrored shot of Lac Blanc with the Mont Blanc mountain range in the background, but it was a bit too windy for that. Still, the view from Lac Blanc certainly didn't disappoint! I also realized I had just devoured my fourth blueberry pie of the trip—everything just tastes so much better on the trail!

I created my own map using Caltopo map and upload the GPX file to my Garmin Fenix 5x. It worked really well. V standards for variant which is harder but the view is awesome. The weather was so great. I was able to do all variants.Â
